With the strike over, we’ll be getting even more new episodes of Lost this season. What I’ve heard is that we’ll get 4 more new episodes, then a hiatus for a month or more and then 6 more episodes. This way the big “cliffhanger” that would have been at the end of the 8 episodes filmed before the strike will now come at the beginning of the second set.
As for other shows:
“The Big Bang Theory” — Returns March 17 (nine episodes)
Even though it’s a comedy, it has some of the best physics on TV, which really isn’t saying much.
“Cane” — No new episodes this season; future in doubt.
I hope this show gets canceled. One of the stars is also in Lost, and I’d like to see his backstory which might not happen if he is too busy.
“Heroes” — No new episodes; returns in fall.
That’s good news, they need the time to come up with a good story line.
“Law & Order” — April 23 (five episodes)
Good, if they can write a story that doesn’t involve someone’s “orientation” or the Patriot Act for at least one of those episodes.
“Life” — No new episodes; returns in fall.
They could probably use the time too.
“The Office” — April 10 (six episodes).
Woot. I hope they have plans for where they’re going with the show. They’ve gone down one of those roads that often leads to jumping the shark.
“Journeyman” and “Bionic Woman” are expected to be canceled.
Supposedly there is a Rice-a-roni mail-in protest to keep Journeyman on the air. It was entertaining, but I don’t know that it warranted a mail-in campaign.
“24″ — Postponed until January.
The way this show has been going downhill in recent years, they probably could use even more time than that.
“House” — Expected to shoot four to six new episodes to begin airing in April.
Cool. Get it? …the episode after the Super Bowl was called ‘Frozen’… never mind… I’m liking the new cast. Kal Penn is doing a better job than he did in “24″, anyway.
“Big Shots,” “Carpoolers” and “Cavemen” are expected to be canceled.
Cavemen is being canceled? Really? I’m shocked.
